Improve your basic skills with a Pass Plus Course
Page last updated: 21/03/16
Pass Plus is an established training course aimed at new drivers, designed by the Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) with the help of insurers and the driver training industry.
Statistically new drivers are more likely to have an accident in the first two years after passing their test and this is because of their lack of driving experience.
Pass Plus builds on your skills and knowledge that you have learned in your lessons. It will teach you how to anticipate, plan for and deal with all kinds of hazards, to help you become a more confident driver.
There are 6 modules to your Pass Plus course, and most of them should have been covered during your training to gain your full licence, the modules consist of:
• Driving around a town
• All weather driving
• Driving in the countryside
• Driving at night
• Driving on dual carriageways
• Driving on motorways
We generally aim to do this course in one day; that way we can really test your skills in totally unfamiliar areas. We could go to the beach, have some lunch (my treat), then find an alternative route back home.
Of course, if you would prefer to do shorter lengths, that’s not a problem either.
